We will hold our next council meeting on Thursday June 4, 2020.
During Covid-19 restrictions we cannot meet physically, and even when some restrictions begin to be relaxed social distancing precautions will not allow our usual meeting format with public attendance for some time.
We have been advised by Midlothian Council that meetings of Community Councils can be held by videoconference and any decisions taken there are valid. We have also been advised that for reasons of technical difficulty, security and exclusivity it is not essential to have residents join these meetings during these exceptional times.
Since there is no short term prospect of resuming normal meetings we need to press on with relevant ENCC business. We have successfully held a series of informal videoconference working meetings to implement Covid-19 resilience measures and initiatives, and we will now hold our June meeting using that technology. Those attending the meeting will be Community Councillors and, as observers and participants, your elected representatives from Midlothian Council.
An agenda can be found here, as can be found the minutes of previous meetings.
We invite residents to submit any questions or issues in advance, by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or use our contact form here. For any resident that wants to respond in writing we have arranged a mail drop-box located at Eskbank Trading. Please identify yourself by name and street, for residency status.
All correspondence for consideration at this meeting should be received before noon on Monday June 1.
A full minute will be published here and circulated to our email list within the usual time.
