Please be aware that residents are required to cut back any hedging, trees or other garden growth on their premises which overhangs public pavements and paths. This can be enforced by Midlothian Council. This is especially important at this time of year when there is a lot of new growth. This year, during the coronavirus restrictions, folk complying with social distancing need to be able to pass each other safely when out walking. Please make sure that your garden growth is not impeding pavements and paths, now and as the summer progresses and growth continues. Don’t wait until the Council requests it.
